the past few months...

So since my last post was about our Christmas vacation and it is now April...that pretty much makes me the worst blogger on the planet! Oh well. I'm over it.
Anyway, I'm just gonna do one big post about what we've been up to the last few months.

My little baby...well not so little anymore...Ella turned 3 in January! I cannot believe that I have a 3 year old.  Our little Ella is such a complete JOY (most of the time at least) and I am so grateful every day that she "came from my tummy!" (That's what she tells me: "Mom, I'm so happy I came from your tummy."--She makes me want to cry at how much I love her.)

If it was still socially acceptable to have arranged marriages, this little guy would be Sadie's future husband. It's only appropriate because Ella is going to marry his older brother.

Another good potential husband for either one of my girls! Little "T" is such a sweet boy and his mom is one of my good friends out here in Oklahoma.

This is Ella's BF I mentioned earlier...

Blowing out the candles on her Ariel cake before the song was over.

My 2 little girlies after bath time. Now that Sadie doesn't need to take a bath in her little plastic blue tub, it's so much easier to bath them at the same time! And Sadie LOVES doing anything with her big sister!

We went down to Dallas in February for a conference Ryan had to go to and this was the only shot we took the whole weekend. Nothing puts a smile on Ella's face like a ride on the Merry-go-Round!

There's a cute little museum here with a little kid area that his a dress up area. We go sometimes for a playdate with friends.

Ella and our friend/neighbor "H". These two are so funny together. Every time they see each other, they have to run to each other and give a big dramatic hug. It's like they've seen 1 too many Disney movies. :)

They day after we got back from our Spring Break trip to AZ to visit my sis and her family, there was a crazy snow storm.  When Ryan got home from work, he and Ella went in the back yard and made a little snowman (sidenote: Ella was building the snowman with no shoes on! Only in Oklahoma!) The next day Ella woke up and all that was left of her snowman with the hat and scarf in a pile on the grass. She was pretty sad.

Awww...what a cute little boy!! Just kidding. Sadie had to borrow a shirt from her little friend because she was playing at his house when she had a pretty messy diaper. All I can say is--Thank heavens for headbands!!

Easter was kind of weird this year since it fell on conference Sunday so the girls had to wear their cute dresses (thanks Grandma Karen!) to church the week before. Our ward starts at 8:30 in the morning--yikes!--so needless to say we never have any spare time before church and Sadie was already asleep when we got home so I just have a picture of Ella in her Easter dress. Oops.

The zoo just opened a cute little "Children's Petting Zoo" so we met up with a friend earlier this week to check it out.  This is Ella with another one of her good friends, "A".

Ella LOVED getting to pet the goats.  I swear, she is not afraid of any animal. Well, except chickens. I don't know what it is. I don't think she trusts them. In fact, I think she is a little hesitant of all birds...probably a left over effect of the "duck biting" incident from a couple summers ago.

I think she looks SO OLD in this picture! Even though I feel like she gets more fun the older she gets, it still makes me a little sad to see her get bigger. :(

The three amigos by the lions. As soon as I put Sadie down, thought "she's gonna try to eat these wood chips."

So far, so good...

...and there she goes. Nice.
