Christmas Vacation, Part 2: California

Back on the plane to head down to San Diego...

Ella was catching up on what to do in case of an emergency.

On Christmas Eve, we all (me, my brother, and my sister and our families) all spent the night at my dad's house so we could all wake up Christmas morning together.

Sadie was hitching a ride on Carson's new Tonka truck

Carson was LOVING what Santa brought him. His little jammies said "Dear Santa, I can explain..." Perfect for this little guy!

My BIL arranged for us to stay in his brother's in law's beach house that they weren't going to be using for a few of the days we were there in Laguna Beach. This was the view from the balcony.

This is how Ella took most of her naps while we were in California. Poor thing.

Carson fell asleep with his hand on Sadie's. So cute.

The day after Christmas, we did a big party with all of my mom's side. I know I'm not looking, but this is the best picture I had. (p.s. I love the look on my cousin, Aubrey's, face. Not very "Aurora" of her, is it? To be fair, we did have to wake her up to come get in the picture.)

Ella was not in any mood to be taking all the pictures we wanted her to be in.

I had to bribe her with M&M's to even do this:

Back at the beach house, I was loving the balcony!

Santa's lil' helper

One morning, my sister and I had to run an errand so just Ryan and Ella hung out on the beach.

They were throwing rocks in that water.

The house that we were staying in was in this little gated community that had it's own private beach with swings and a playground so our kids were loving it!

One night, we had the rest of the family come out to the beach house and what did we end up doing??? You guessed it...taking more pictures.

My kids were not into all the pictures we wanted them to be in.

Oh well. We tried.

Maybe next year.

My cute Glitter Toes that I treated myself to while I was in Utah. Love them!

Ella and Grandma Karen

They found some starfish that Ella had to touch.
It was a fun-filled trip! Thanks to all the family for all the fun memories! :)

How fun! I was thinking about it, and we really need to schedule a time for all of the P-12 girls to get together, when we are all in California. It would be chaotic and fun!
